Discover crystalline rivers, dramatic rock formations and kaleidoscopic mountains on the unforgettable Purilactis Trek, a route that traverses the Domeyko Range, reveals ancient petroglyphs and culminates in the surreal landscapes of Rainbow Valley.

The adventure begins near the life-giving banks of the Salado River, at 3,000 metres above sea level. From here, the trail gradually leaves the river behind, entering the arid folds of the gorge. En route, the 10,000-year-old petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas emerge from volcanic stone, offering insight into a time when this region formed a vital crossroads for trade and migration.
